The Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies (WGS) program at the University of Maine is an interdisciplinary program encompassing feminist, gender, and queer theories. Results of these efforts have been equivocal. They found that although the proportion of women authors of original research has increased, women still compose a minority of the authors of original research and guest editorials.
