What and when are the main Jewish Festivals? Then the list would look like, give or take: Simchat Torah (1 working day, "can drive" holiday) All reasonably good answers here, so I'll take a different approach altogether and suggest that the most important holiday is every day. The first occurs two weeks before Passover (Nisan 1) and the second occurs ten days before Yom Kippur (the other two "new years" are not regularly observed, except by the Ultra Orthodox).
